Whats for dinner tonight?

0

I know that youre probably very busy and like me, you may need an arsenal of quick and easy recipes to assist you so that dinner may be the least of your worries! So heres my go to recipe for Crock Pot Cola Chicken. A friend gave me the recipe a long time ago and I have since tweaked it an made it my own! Ive done various searches and have not found anything exactly like my version, but if there is one out there, my apologies!

Crock Pot Cola Chicken

8-12 chicken tenders
1 c. Ketchup
1 large onion sliced into rings
2 TBS minced garlic
1 can of Cola (Ive used diet Dr. Pepper before!)

I use frozen chicken so you will have to adjust the time or temperature at which you cook this. Place chicken on the bottom of crock pot, spread onion rings around chicken. Sprinkle garlic evenly and pour ketchup and cola over chicken. Put lid on and set on High for 5 hours or low for 7-8 hours. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice or noodles.

Thats it! Set it at noon and forget about it until dinner time tonight!

If you have any great super simple recipes, I would love to hear from you!

Until next time… Keep Rockin’

New Year

0

Okay, so I finally feel like Im catching up from the hustle and bustle of the holidays/birthday season in our household! In the midst of all this catching up I have really felt a need to purge. Maybe its because our girls got way too much stuff for Christmas or maybe its our downsizing into a waaayyy smaller home than our previous home. Maybe its because its the beginning of a new year and with all the goals I have, i have to add one more to the list. I know for me, getting and staying organized is always at the top of my new years resolution! It kinda stresses me out!

I have found one really cool helper that takes a little of the stress out of organization and breaks it down to bite sized little nuggets so youre not so overwhelmed. Its the Declutter and Organize Calendar at tipjunkie.com. It was created by Beth over at mysimplerlife.com. She has some fabulous tips on taming all of your clutter and get organized.

But my home is not the only stressor that I wanted to declutter, my email has gotten the best of me over the past few years. I have had many subscriptions that I have been meaning to read when I had the time, but never got around to it! Too many valuable, informative emails from some of my favorites but never enough time to read! So what did I do? I deleted all 3000 emails that were waiting for me in my Outlook, tuck away in get to it tomorrow folders. And I already feel so much better knowing that there are only a few emails that I need and I dont even know what I was missing out on with the emails I deleted!

I even found a cure to buying all the books I could never read…the library! I have found most of the books that I have wanted to read, and not have to pay for them! It also gives me a deadline of sorts to read it! And I never even have to leave the comfort of my own home to see if the library has the books I want or even if they have it in stock because most libraries have access to their catalog online and some (like mine) even have apps for your phone or tablets!
